Want to unlock your creative potential?
The success of the design process is rooted in the ability to connect with your creative identity, understand how to translate your taste and personality into visual research and then use that research as the building blocks for your design ideas.
From how to brainstorm your concepts and research your images for mood boards, to exploring form before moving into design, each step of the design process is integral to creating a disciplined skill set that delivers inspiring ideas every time!
Trust the Process
Creativity is how you think, how you research and the individuality you bring to a project. In this course Nathalie shares her process from concept to creation, from how to draw on personal taste and experience when starting your research to developing designs beyond an initial idea.
INTRODUCING...
Design:
Simplifying the Creative Process
WHAT IS IN THE COURSE?
Learn how to write engaging concepts and visualise them in a creative way. This course is a fun introduction to creativity and a professional, structured process.
- Learn to connect with your creative voice
- Explore practical skills to bring your ideas to life
- Demystify the process, from concept to creation.

MODULE 1:
The Creative Process - Introduction
Module 1 looks at the creative process as a whole, giving an introduction to each of the different stages in the context of a completed project.

MODULE 2:
Concepts & Brainstorming
How to connect with what inspires you. This is essentially part 1 to the research module, as how you write your concept and your brainstorming is the stepping stone to your visual research.

MODULE 3:
Research & Mood boards
Translating concepts into a visual format is reliant on your ability to research. This module looks at how to research relevant imagery and put it into a mood board format.

MODULE 4:
Analytical Sketching
The most misunderstood part of the creative process! This step explores how to use your research to start the sketching process.

MODULE 5:
Design Stage
Where analytical drawing looks at more abstract drawing, the design stage takes the research and starts connecting the element of wearability, in the form of jewellery.

MODULE 6:
Editing & Final Designs
How to edit. An essential skill to create a concise and cohesive body of work. This is key to working to a brief, be it a bespoke commission or full collection.
